Our engineering firm for production of industrial knives was established in 1946. In 1964 the company increased the production assortment with the production of forming machines. During years 1964 - 1989 our firm was the biggest producer of industrial knives in former Czechoslovakia. Obviously there was constant increasing of utilitarian properties according to requests of our customer. We cooperated with Research Institutes, Universi-ties and producer of tool steel. There were even at that time more that 12 000 types of knives in our construction archive. Since 1989 the firm has been transformed into new private joint stock company with new name Liptovské strojárne. After this transformation 100% shares of firm was bought by international company HACO N.V. Belgium. Due to over taking the firm has became a member of international group. At the present our firm with its technical equipment and production experience is able to produce any industrial knives to 5 000 m length in high quality with great utilitarian properties and convenient prices.
